I4ID, Lyon (France) on December 11-12, 2017
The emergence of new infectious diseases, the re-emergence of ancient infectious diseases, the rise of antibacterial resistance to conventional antibacterial agents and the difficulty to introduce and supply a new pipeline of novel antimicrobial compounds increases the interest for non-conventional approaches, such as immunotherapies as new therapies for Infectious Diseases.
Although several international conferences have raised in one of their sessions either the immunotherapy or the infectious diseases thematic, there is still a real need to bring together these topics in a single dedicated international scientific congress.
BIOASTER and MabDesign have thus decided to associate their experiences and expertise to organize the first International Congress in France with two days fully dedicated to Immunotherapies for Infectious Diseases (I4ID). The purpose of this two-day congress is to foster interactions between pharmaceutical industries, research labs, service providers, and technology developers, and thus promoting the use of immunotherapies for prevention and treatment of infectious diseases.
The Scientific Committee has set-up an exciting program for the I4ID 2017 Congress, focusing on monoclonal antibodies as immunotherapies for infectious diseases that includes keynote lectures, pitch talks of new creative projects, and industrial talks from big pharmaceutical companies. The I4ID 2017 Congress program also contains several opportunities for networking and dedicated time for business partnering.
The topics covered during this meeting are:
- Immunotherapy against viral infections,
- Immunotherapy as alternative treatment to antibiotics,
- Immunotherapy against emergent or re-emergent and bioterrorism agents,
- Next-Generation Immunotherapy against Infectious Diseases,
- Cross-talk: Challenges for access to immunotherapies in emerging countries.
