Data processing

Personal data is generally collected to the extent that is technically necessary. Under no circumstances is the data forwarded to third parties without the consent of those concerned. The following statements give you an overview of how European Vaccine Initiative guarantees this protection and also an overview of the type of data that is collected, processed or used and to which purpose.

Sending e-mails to interested parties

If your e-mail provider supports Transport Layer Security (TLS), the e-mail communication is encrypted. Advertising and the sending of newsletters for interested parties from both the private and business customer segment can also take place. For this, however, the explicit consent is always obtained from the interested party in advance according to Art. 6 (1 a) GDPR.

Furthermore, we are available to answer your questions about the collection, processing and use of your personal data. And of course, you have the right to have your data erased (forgotten).

We collect the minimum amount of information about you that is commensurate with providing you with a satisfactory service. Below are the rights you have as according to GDPR and BDSG.

  • Every data subject has the right of access pursuant to Article 15 GDPR,

  • the right to rectification pursuant to Article 16 GDPR,

As far as the right to obtain information and the right to erasure are concerned, the restrictions pursuant to Secs. 34 and 35 of BDSG are applicable. Moreover, there is a right to appeal to a competent data protection supervisory authority (Article 77 GDPR in conjunction with Sec. 19 BDSG).

Consent to the processing of personal data granted to EVI may be revoked at any time by informing EVI accordingly. This also applies for the revocation of declarations of consent given to EVI before the effective date of the GDPR, i.e. before 25 May 2018. Bearing in mind that such revocation will be effective only for the future with no impact on processing carried out before the date of revocation.
