Giovanna Milano is currently an intern at the European Vaccine Initiative (EVI).
She holds a Master’s degree in Health Biology from the University of Siena.
After completing a one-year research fellowship at the Molecular Epidemiology Laboratory of the same university, she began a PhD at the University of Siena and carried out part of her research activities at VisMederi S.R.L., focusing on the molecular diagnosis of airborne viruses and the antibody response to vaccination.
Throughout her professional experience, she has developed expertise in viral diagnostics through molecular techniques and in analysing antibody responses using various serological methods.
These experiences have provided her with a strong background in applied research in public health and infectious diseases.
