Mandeep joined EVI as a trainee in May 2021 and is currently working as a Project Assistant in the communications team. She obtained a Master’s degree in "Health and Society in South Asia" from Heidelberg University with her recent thesis on illegal kidney trade in India. She is passionate about working on health-related issues for people in developing countries and among underprivileged communities, as shown in her previous roles at an NGO for breast and uterine cancer awareness in rural areas of India, and at her involvement in the Government of India's "National Health Mission" project in Punjab. During this time, she coordinated vaccination campaigns as an Assistant District Immunization Officer for polio and measles-rubella vaccinations. Mandeep also organised awareness campaigns for Hepatitis B, Dengue, Malaria, and soil-transmitted helminth (STH).
